The Top 5 gift ideas for Fitness Lovers KIDS!

Do you have friends that LOVE to get their kids involved in their fitness journey, or perhaps yourself? Then this list is for you!

Chris and I have 3 very small kids that we cart to the gym with us whenever we get the chance. We have so much fun including them in our lifestyle- not to mention its teaching them very healthy habits not only for exercise but as a mental outlet as well! Our kids actually started getting into the gym during the lockdown- we had to bring the gym to our home. Which in turn also meant we had to program workouts that our kids could join in on too. At the time we didn’t have much equipment but we made everything work! I have taken the time to put a list together for you of great gift ideas for your fitness friends and family that their kids will love too!

1.Fitness Dice

These fun kids dice would be perfect to help get your kids to start a warm up. I love how colorful they are and they allow the kids to get a variety of movements in! I especially love how it incorporates yoga movements- stretching is so important and something my family for sure could use some work on!

2. Kids Stationary bike

Where are my biking and spin parents at? Who has a Peloton at home and their littles watch in amazement as you crush a ride? I saw this kids stationary bike and am totally ordering it this holiday season for my kids. There are so many built in features and its bluetooth so you can hook it up to a tablet or device so your kids can ride along!

3. Kids Barbell set

Our barbell we got for the boys is probably my favorite thing in our house. Our boys LOVE to watch us lift weights- especially Chris. Chris trained in the olympic lifts for a while and really enjoyed it. However, these lifts can get really technical. So having these kids barbells, which are very light in weight, on hand makes teaching them so much easier and safer! Plus you can actually let them do a workout with you with a barbell movement and they feel that much more accomplished. I love that this set comes with more than just the barbell- its the perfect all around gift!

4. Agility Ladder

There are so many drills you can do with an agility ladder. They are great to do a warm up with, or to practice speed- even more so to make up fun games to play with the kids. The boys use this ladder all the time at their Tae Kwon Do gym. They also play soccer so these ladders provide a great way to practice both footwork and speed. My boys personally like to have one each to themselves and race to their punching bags doing a specific skill and then practicing a kicking and punching combo. The options are endless.

5. Gymnastics Bar

So, my kids have no clue that we got them this kipping bar for Christmas. I very well might be more excited for Santa then they are this year for this specific gift! My son Russell is obsessed with doing strict pull ups on a daily basis. We currently don’t have anything at home so I let him when we go to the gym or we go to our local park and practice on the monkey bars. He’s going to absolutely flip out when he sees this under the tree! Anyways- gymnasts are incredibly strong and I wish that I had a gymnastic background because their training and posture – in my opinion – is completely unmatched!

I hope this list helps get everyone started or just a person looking to add something for their kids to promote a fitness journey! Happy shopping everyone!
